Industry and science on the Danube

Ulm is an independent city in Baden-Württemberg and seat of the district office for the Alb-Donau district. Many people know the city for its Minster. For your work, something else counts: Ulm is an important location for industry and research between Stuttgart and Munich.

Companies from vehicle manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering, IT and logistics work in the city. Then there are the university, the university of applied sciences and the hospitals. Construction is going on in many places: in business parks, in new residential areas, at schools, hospitals and other public buildings.

Where work happens in Ulm

Two areas are particularly important for installation teams. In the south is the Donautal, the city's large industrial and commercial area. In the north-west is the Oberer Eselsberg with the university, the university hospital and the Science Park. You will find separate pages with driving times for both areas below.

Directly opposite, on the Bavarian side of the Danube, lies Neu-Ulm. The neighbouring city belongs to a different federal state and has its own business parks. That is why it has its own page with us. Many teams work in Ulm and live in Neu-Ulm or vice versa.

If you are working in Ulm's old town, it is best to clarify access and loading times with your client in advance. The city centre has large pedestrian zones. In the business parks, access by van is usually easier.

Worker accommodation in Ulm for your team

Our furnished rooms and worker flats are located across Ulm and Neu-Ulm. Our head office is also in Ulm, at Saulgauer Straße 9. We know our way around the city and will suggest accommodation that suits your construction site. For that we need the address of the work location, the dates and the number of people.

There are single and shared rooms. If your team would like to live together, let us know. Whether that is possible depends on team size and occupancy.

Getting to Ulm

Ulm is easy to reach. The A8 between Stuttgart and Munich runs north of the city, the A7 to the east. The B10, B28, B30 and B311 federal roads lead into the city and the surrounding area. Ulm Hauptbahnhof is a hub for long-distance rail. Since the new high-speed line opened, Stuttgart can be reached much faster by train.

Most fitters still come by van. Parking for cars and vans is subject to availability, and some properties also have space for lorries. Tell us in advance which vehicles you will arrive with. If your company also has jobs in Augsburg, let us know. We rent out accommodation there too. The two cities are around 80 kilometres apart on the A8.

Request, invoice, move-in

After your request, we will get back to you personally with a quote. From 7 nights you pay from €22 per person per night, net. For teams of 10 people or more staying at least 9 months, the price is from €19 per person per night, net.

After the binding reservation, you will receive the invoice to your company. It shows the exact address of the accommodation. Check-in is between 5 pm and 9 pm. If your team stays in Ulm for longer, we can help with residence registration on request.
